Are you ready to try out contact lenses? Or have you tried contact lenses in the past and just never felt comfortable with them on? Did you know that not all contact lenses are the same size, fit, or material? Contact lenses are a medical device that require a prescription that is unique to you and your Optometrist is here to help you find the best possible fit and comfort.
Step 1: The Eye Examination. We need to know that our eyes are healthy before we prescribe contact lenses for you. This examination should be completed annually for contact lens wearers.
Step 2: Determine the lens modality. Your Optometrist will gather corneal measurements and discuss your options with you. The lenses selected for your trial will be based of your measurements, wear-time, and lifestyle.
Step 3: Insertion, removal, training and hygiene review. Training will be performed for all new contact lens wearers and a review will be provided for all existing contact lens wearers.
Step 4: Trials are sent home with you to try in your daily environment. If you are happy with the contact lenses, your doctor will finalize your contact lens prescription and send you a link on how to order. If you found the trials to be blurry or uncomfortable, we will schedule a follow-up with your doctor and find you a better option.
